To our Sanguine Community,
As patient advocates, our community’s health is of our utmost priority. With the growing concern regarding the spread of COVID-19, we wanted to take a moment to update you on the proactive precautions we have put in place to minimize the spread of the virus and protect our participants and mobile health staff.
We have recently implemented the following precautions:
- Perform more stringent screening criteria for participants. All individuals will be screened regarding recent travel (travel outside of the US within the past 30 days) and any flu-like symptoms prior to at-home visits.
- Provide all phlebotomists with additional personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gowns, face masks, and hand sanitizer in addition to the standard PPE such as gloves and alcohol wipes which are already provided.
Here is how you can do your part:
- Please make sure to wash your hands with soap and water multiple times throughout the day- especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- If you feel you may be sick or have any flu-like or respiratory symptoms, please let us know immediately so that we can reschedule your appointment. We will do our best to accommodate any reschedule necessary.
We appreciate our community and value your trust. Our mission has always been to unite participants and researchers together under the common goal of finding a cure to debilitating medical conditions. Our at-home model not only makes research participation convenient, but also reduces the risk of exposure to infections by circumnavigating hospitals and clinics.
We will continue to monitor the situation with the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), and will keep you informed of any updates.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. As a community, we will work together to protect the health of our participants and mobile health staff.
Warm Regards,
The Sanguine Team
